What is an e-PAN?

Users have the option to download the e-PAN from two portals which are NSDL and UTIITSL. If you had applied for a PAN card on the NSDL website, then it is suggested that you download your e-PAN from the same NSDL website.
If you wish to download the e-PAN from the UTIITSL website, then you will first have to apply for a PAN card reprint through the UTIITSL portal.

Step 2: Here, you will need to enter the acknowledgement numbers that have been issued to you while you submit the PAN card application. Now select the ‘Generate OTP’ option.
Step 3: Now put the OTP and select the ‘Validate’ tab.
Step 4: Here, you will need to click on ‘Download PDF’ to download the document instantly.
Download e-PAN Using UTIITSL Portal
UTIITSL is a portal similar to NSDL where applicants can apply for a new PAN card. At the same, applicants can also give a request for corrections to the existing PAN card.
Furthermore, those who have given a PAN card application through the UTIITSL portal can easily download the e-PAN online. However, it is necessary to note that applicants must download the e-PAN within 30 days of issuance. Else, there will be additional charges for the same.
Below are the steps that you need to follow to download the e-PAN using the UTIITSL portal.
Step 1: Visit the UTIITSL official website.
Step 2: Here, you will need to enter some important details like the date of birth, PAN, along with the GSTN (optional). Finally, enter the security code and apply.
Step 3: Make sure that the email ID along with the mobile number that you have mentioned are correct. Now put the security code and tick the declaration.
Step 4: Here the applicant gets the choice to send the OTP either on the mobile number, email ID or both.
Step 5: An OTP will be sent to the email or number or both.
Step 6: Now, enter the accurate OTP and hit the ‘Submit’ button.
Step 7: In any case, if the PAN issuance period is over 30 days, then the applicant needs to make an online payment of ₹8.26.
Step 8: Once this process is completed, you will be able to download the e-PAN.
