There are three Ways of unblocking your debit card sitting at the comfort of your home:
- Using Internet Banking
- Using iMobile App
- Using Whatsapp
Note: If your card is permanently blocked, it is impossible to unblock it now.
Unblock the card using a Mobile application
With the rise in Digital Era, ICICI has also launched their mobile application services. Now, one can unblock the card using Mobile Application – mobile.
Step 1: Download the mobile application of ICICI Bank ‘iMobile’- Official application of ICICI Bank. Open and log with your user ID and password.
Step 2: At the top of the app you will get the option of saving account. Check below it and notice the option of Debit Card. Click on it.
Step 3: A new page will appear where mentioned ‘You do not have an active card.’
Step 4: Go to the bottom of the page and click on the block card. – Your card will be blocked or unblocked as a result of this action.
Step 5: The system will ask your card type, Enter Debit Card.
Step 6: Unblock the card by pressing the “unlock card”.
Step 7: Enter your account number.
Step 8: Enter your card number
Step 9: Submit the form.
Step 10: Preconformation message will be asked, Enter OK.
Step 11: A Message will be forwarded to your Card no, ID. The account will be dehotlisted – unblocked.
The same method is for unblocking the ICICI debit card in Internet banking.
Login to the internet banking site of ICICI ( Internet Banking | Net Banking | Online Banking | Personal Banking Services | ICICI Bank) and follow the steps given above.
Unblock debit cards using Whatsapp
ICICI Bank has also launched a new way of unblocking cards using Whatsapp. You can also unblock your card by just sending a message.
Step 1: Search the Whatsapp banking number or directly click here – 8640086400 (just tap on the link to open it directly on WhatsApp).
Step 2: Send the message ‘menu’ in the above-given number using Whatsapp.
Step 3: Automated reply, will send you the ‘menu box’. From the menu box select the option of ‘block/unblock card’. Now type ‘unblock’ card and send the message as a reply to this
Step 4: Select your ‘debit card’ option. Enter Debit Card number and fill all the other options.
Step 5: You will get an OTP in the registered mobile number. Copy and paste all the OTP on Whatsapp.
CONGRATS! Your account is unblocked.
